Well, I'm back from the trip that many people I'm sure didn't know I was going on and despite my urges, I'll refrain from writing a huge big lengthy post about how great the antarctic is, but it was pretty cool none the less. I saw penguins. But im too angry to talk about that, i need to vent. vent! Here are some things i hate.
The Ipod total-fagged my cd drive.
Yeah. No, really. Thanks apple, your software totally blows goats. Heres what happened.
I was ripping some cds with that retarded program itunes, because i wanted to get my brand new (green) ipodmini all organised and stuff for the trip, cause i admit most of my mp3 collection is just, pretty unorganised. So, i was ripping all my favorite albums properly, when the friggen program froze. Which is fine, it had done this before, and after a few minutes it had gotten over itself and was working again, so i let the program freeze for 5 or so minutes, still no change. I gave it another few minutes just to be sure and ended up having to manually restart the computer without all the fancy shutdown procedures going on. So i boot back up again, the very first thing my paranoid eyes noticed was that the light on the cd drive wasnt on. Strange. windows loads, hrm. Cd drive isnt there. right.
Whats happened is, far as i can tell, the program froze as it was ripping, and in its retarded state told the cd drive to keep ripping the same spot on the cd. And like, 8 or so minutes of this sorta treatment is enough to fry yer average cd/burner drive. so yeah. Totally fried.
Speaking of small annoying things
Quiet computers blow.
Are the rules of masculinity being fucked with? Are the laws of the fucking universe changing? Why are small things cool? See, call me old fashioned, but i like big technology. I really do. My ultimate dream is to have my computer housed in a 1980s server case with fans the size of small asian children blowing a force 9 gale onto my computers guts, if i can hear people talk when my computer is turned on, my fans arent spinning fast enough. Its going to have enough ram to knock down the gates of troy. Its going to be bright red, and i swear to god im going to find a way to install a barfridge into it, just so when i want a drink, i can just reach into my sexy red computer and pull one out. That is a computer. That is a MANS computer.
And small mobile phones. Just. What? Thats all i can say about them. What? I remember when mobiles were the size of bricks and probably emmited more radiation then a russian nuclear submarine. But theres no way they were anything other then cool. Now look at phones! Pretty lights, novelty features, cameras, gps, blue tooth, infa-red. They're turning into some sort of toy. A really expensive small toy.
My god people, dont you see? The world is reversing! People buy large red sports cars to prove that they have large dicks, and with that same logic I can only assume that people make really small computers to prove their manhoods are really diminished. Its all wrong, you're meant to be doing it the other way around.
For the love of elvis, please, its not too late. Get a big computer. throw away your tiny mobile phone. Buy a really large red sports car. It will obviously prove that your intense masculinity is indeed near godhood. These things matter ok? Dont believe the hype, the opinions of strangers really do matter! People will look and point and judge.
Oh yeah! whilst I remember, If anyone wants a personalised penguin picture I'm doing a batch for people irl, I said i would bring back penguins for everyone from the antarctic, but customs and immigration have these funny laws about that, so im drawing a penguin for everyone who wanted one. email me or something if you do, t'would be my pleasure, drawin penguins is fun! Ok fuckbags. It's monday. And God I hate everything.
I woke up at quater to six and came into town to do extra school work, because I hate everything.
I didn't put any sugar in my coffee this morning because I just hate everything so much.
I've got my headphones on, but no music playing because the batteries (that i hate) ran out.
I went to the bathroom here, and some dude like, came in pooped, washed his hands for like 2 seconds and then walked out the door, he didnt dry his hands, so he left the door handle dripping with water.
I totally hate that so much.
Hate seems like a pretty strong word however I just hate that there isnt a stronger one. So I consulted the holy bible of where I get all my information from. Then after about one minute I zipped my pants back up and went to www.thesaurus.com for some more valid advice. Heres what i found.

Now there are some verb uses in there that I really like. Particularly 'spit upon'. I like that.
I don't just hate mondays, I 'spit upon' mondays. Its such a foul thing to do, i mean its right up there with pissing on someone or giving them a shania twain cd (and as soon as I find a way to make 'giving someone a shania twain cd' a verb you can bet I'll start using that too)
I've also taken a fancy to 'abominate'. Isn't that a cool word? People don't say abominate as much as they should. Or nauseate. Or anathematize. And I dont even know what anathematize means. However that just proves that it isnt said nearly enough.
Just for Gits and shiggles I did another few searches, and as always the second concept that goes through my head when I'm finished hating (read:abominating, spitting upon) something is to think of the erect male penis. So I did an innocent little search.

I hate many things in this world. As a catholic school-raised fag I grew up In a cess pool of doubt and self loathing. Years later, this had made me an angry, bitter, insecure little man. See these bags under my eyes? I'm not tired, I just hate lots of things! In fact, I probably hate you too, and if you were here I'd punch you right right between your stupid eyes.
But the upside of all this unaimed blind hatred is that, combined with the super powers I get from being gay AND australian, my perception of reality is much more valid and true. Which essentially means my opinion is better and more right then yours.
So here are some truths (aka, my opinions) about fashion which annoy me.
Please wear socks.
It now seems to be trendy to wear shoes with no socks along with long pants. Or even, much to my complete horror, even sandles with long pants. Ok, look just, no. No. It looks bad. It will always look bad. Whats the point of wearing a new suit jacket, nice shirt, nice pants and nice shoes, only to wear shoes that highlight the fact you're not wearing socks. The 'fashion consultant' from queer eye for a straight guy does this all the bloody time. Not wearing socks with nice clothes looks like you've forgotten to put them on. Its trashy! The only time ive ever seen anyone not wear socks with shoes is either cause they're too lazy, or they're about to walk into some water and the shoes are just crappy ones to fuck around with. So whatever impression you're aiming for by not wearing socks. You missed it
Conclusion? Don't do it. That pisses me off.
Pink business shirts.
Oh my sweet god. Why.
White is an appropriate colour for a sleeved business shirt, because it is the accepted standard. Its clean, its not emotive, its a neutral coolish sorta tone that gives an air of professionalism. Tie matching opportunities are limitless, as anything will go with white. However it's also dead boring. So I can totally understand why people would want to wear different colour shirts to their boring stupid office jobs. Light blue seems to be another favorite, and that also is boring, but fine. The light blue is a nice cool tone, its relaxing, reminds people of the sky, of the sea, and other pouncy blue relaxing things. Its harder to find ties to match the said sky blue, it does leave you restricted, but thats ok, if you're wearing a light blue shirt you probably don't care, because you're too relaxed or some shit, i dont know.
But pink. Pink is girly. Call me a pig, or tradionalist, or anything you like. But pink really IS a girly colour. Not that thats a bad thing, truely ive nothing against pink. But seeing a man, dressed in a ( light pink) shirt going to work just makes my (dark red) blood boil. It's like whoever is wearing it is trying to be different, or maybe their wife made them wear it, or maybe late at night when no ones around they jerk off thinking about ricky martin and then quietly wonder why they like pink clothes so much. Well you know i don't care about the reasons. It looks terrible, I wont even say it looks faggy, because As a gay person, I simply cant imagine another gay person wearing such a tacky peice of apparel.
Conclusion? If you're going to wear a pink shirt, grow a set of balls and wear a red shirt instead. A nice deep rich red shirt looks miles better then the wussy pink number your wife bought you. You wanker.
FUBU, FUBAR. Whatever.
Ok. Here in australia the youth, as all youth, just love trends. Kids see and copy whatever shit they see on the media. They all deny this of course, because they're all individuals. Personally i think until you're 18 or older you havent been alive long enough to be an indivudual. Much like babies aren't human until they can walk and talk and get me beers from the fridge.
Anyhow, yeah. Im curious, is there anything more obnoxious then a fat white 15 year old in some shiney plastic fubu shirt that his mother has bought, washed and ironed for him?
I thought FUBU meant 'For Us By Us'. The us being poor black people living in the 'ghetto' or whatever the fuck americans call the shitty parts of a town. Lots of FUBU clothes are so expensive I cant see any poor person ammasing the money to buy them.
Conclusion? If you're a white rich person, dont wear fubu. In fact, if you are white and rich and own fubu clothes, go out and give it to poor ghetto living people. I'm sure they will be greatful for your generous offering, in fact, give them some cans of creamed corn too, remember poor people have no pride or self image, so it doesnt matter how patronising you are. Better bring the whole family along and video tape it, so you can always remember what a good person you are.
Animal Tshirts
Do you own and wear shirts that have inspirational pictures of horses, lions, wolves, leopards, otters, dolphins, dragons, unicorns or in fact any sort of animal on the front, or back? Burn it. Dont' argue with me here. If you're wearing it, set it on fire right now. Don't worry, the fire will burn out the dirtyness in you. You're doing this because it LOOKS HORRIBLE. Those sort of shirts will never ever ever never ever ever ever look anything but geeky, hippyish and retarded. I know wolves are cool, i like wolves, if i could I'd also wear a shirt with wolves on it. But you know why i don't?
Because they look stupid. If the animals in those shirts were people, they'd be cool enough to know not to wear shirts with those animals on them. So if you really like those animals, stop doing them an injustice with your nerdocity and wear some decent god damn clothes.
Conclusion? People will think you look like an idiot.

I dont know what they might be called in america, but you know those belts you wrap around your waist and have a pouch? You know, the sort of thing ticket collectors might use at a big football game, or pizza delivery guys might have it to give you change from your $50 note which you're making him break (you jerk). They're worn when its absolutely necessary. If you dont have to wear them.
DONT WEAR THEM!
If you're a guy and need a place to put stuff, wear a god damn backpack, and if you're a girl, use a purse. Wearing a bum bag by choice makes people think you're fucked in the head. I know, because "I" think people who use them with regularity are fucked in the head. And my opinion is more valid then yours.
Conclusion? Wear them and you're scary. Dont touch me.
Hrm. Well thats all the burning hatred out of my system for tonight. If i can battle apathy long enough to write something else this epic, i will inflict you all with another rant about things i hate. Probably not to do with fashion. wow, the only time i update my livejournal is at this office place. Goosh its boring (and i forgot my book too)
Weeeeeell. I think the last time I wrote in this was like, months and months ago. Which is perfectly fine, heh I dont pretend to be interesting enough to write entries daily, weekly or even monthly lol.
Started college again, though im sure most didn't know I'd finished my previous course. Yeah, one year in this and I shall emerge with a bachelors in interactive entertainment focusing in animation as well as a diploma in visual arts. Woot or something.
Drawing and drawing and doing requests and drawing. Still trying to improve, which is a bit of a hit and miss sorta ballgame. I imagine I'm improving, but my art has always looked the same quality to me so its honestly hard to be objective in my own critique of it. The more i do art the more im worried that this just isnt the thing for me. There are so many freakin talented people out there, its hard to see me being anything near competitive in the job market. So I don't know. I've got a year to get to a professional standard in animation and illustration. *fear*

There are always storm clouds on the horizon, I can't count the number of days I've spent watching them. They're harder to see at night and from so far away the lightning in them looks like fireflies, uselessly dancing until the morning comes.
I asked my mum once why they were always so far away, but she didn't really know, she just said that its the way it had always been.
My Favorite time to look at them is about an hour before sunset, when the light has turned all gold and I look out over the wheat fields and if I squint a little and unfocus my eyes I can't tell when the fields end and the clouds begin. I've always wanted to go there, to where the storm clouds are,
but I never have.
^ yeah. Ive been trying for 2 months to draw that picture, but i just havent been able to. When an image is stuck so firmly in your head, how can it be so hard to draw it? Guh.
Aw well, its 3am and my livejournal account was atrophying steadily, so I thought I'd give it a bit of a stretch ^^

i havent updated in quite a while, so i thought i might as we ll do it now.
The move went on sucesfully, with very little hitches, (im now living 10 minutes walk away from my old high school *shudders*) except for the guy who was meant to be brining a microwave cant get it because his idiot old-neighbour just is refusing to pick up his phone, or something.
Well yeah, even without a microwave its all ok ^^ (the oven makes better tasting food anyway). The house is pretty great. Good for what we are paying at least. Nice backyward, a small deck, possum in the roof, its all spiffy. Oh so very spiffy.
Oh! yeah, and im finishing up a course i started last year on bars, cafes and casinos, it gives you fancy hospitality certificate, and a liceanse to serve alcohol and to work in a gaming establishmet. Which is sorta, pointless really, as i dont really want to work in a casino, or bar. But i might have to! Or something. Well, its a good waste of my time at least.
Despite getting sick from some slightly bad chicken, being bored out of my skull the great majority of the time and discovering the many uses of instant pasta and peanut butter (and any combination there of) its been a very positively so-so few weeks. ok ok, well, im going.

Me and two other friends are sorta starting, not so much a business as, well, i guess it is a business. We're trying to decide on a name for the company and, if would be great if people could tell me which name they like best ^^

Yeah, definately feeling better today. The last time i posted i was, well, in the middle of quite possible the third most unfortunately day of my life. Not one of my worst days, just, really really annoying.
Ok, i am so totally not going to complain about today. But here is what happened in a totally non whiney way. I got to gregs place around 10, (he'd taken the day of work again, hes quiting, so, what are they going to do, fire him? Anyway..) and yeah, we got to work salvaging my computer again.
After visiting 3 seperate computer stores, non of whom stock asis motherboards, We end up getting one, which is an a7n8x-x asis (two models up from my old one) which suits my amd athlon 2500+ xp just fine. After getting that, we give my old harddrive a go, seeing as it was working last night, unfortunately, as we formated, we encountered more then a few errors in both the hard drive AND in the cruddy hewlet packard cd drive.
Fact: Everything hewlet packard is complete and utter crap.
So, another trip to the only store now left open in town, i end up getting a 120 gig hard drive with an 8 meg cashe thingo, which works for me, my old one didnt even HAVE a cashe. I have no idea what im going to do with 120 gig of space. I was barely using 20 of my old 80 gig. Anyhoo, got a new cd burner for supergoodprice-o. well, not super great, but, cheeper then i expected.
Well i do have my new case, which is much the really cool, exactly what i wanted in a non-server case. Its a really nice shade of mulled purple, and i added in a red pulsing fluro cold cathode tube into it as well as a red cold cathode fan on the side perspex window. The window is great too, it hasnt got the fan in the middle of it, its up on the top lefthand corner, which is exactly what i wanted. Casewindows with the fan in the middle just annoy me, i mean, how many windows do you see in a house with a big freakin fan stuck in the middle of them?
None!
well, very few at least.
So yeah! my red-themed computer is now all alive and stuff, although the redcathodes and stuff do kinda glow more pink, the pink really suits the colour of the case, and it looks real nice. So yeah, its all done and working. The only thing left to do is install the volcano 11 2 bearing copper heatsink cpu fan of goodness, get a soundcard (at some stage) and get another red cathodefan (because i love them) and another 512 stick or ram (because photoshop demands it)
I have learnt more about computers in the past 3 days then i have in about my whole life. So I Guess this whole crisis wasnt totally bad.
heh, we also set fire to my old motherboard, it was funny because one of the capacitators exploded, ricoceted of the ceiling and hit me, i didnt even notice until 2 hours later when someone pointed out the strange black burnt spot on my shirt lol. We then took to the motherboard with a souldering iron. They are so much fun, they should be illegal.
Matches+soulderingiron+flamabledeoderant+motherboard=carsonogenicfumes=FUN! Bjork was right, all IS full of love. Lovely burning fire love.
Ok! well i gotta go, i think. Ill be back online in the next, well, sorta days, maybe. Not tomorrow, maybe on saturday, but i have a party on that night so i dont know what the deal is there, another one on monday, and ill be working on my film all sunday and monday.

It's just not good.
Things are happening right now and It's putting me off balance. I am having some severe doubts right now, about everything. Things are very uncertain, which is difficult for me, I'm no creature of habit, but, i like knowing what im doing. Which is not what im doing now. You can tell i don't like this, because im posting a whiney entry into my lj. (im whiney not angsty, only teenagers can be angsty)
In two weeks i need to complete my film, find a job, and move out. And it has to be in that order.
To make matters more interesting, my computer is in peices. I managed to get all the new components for my computer together, it was, essentially, essembled and finished two days ago, and working just fine.
Then i did something, i dont know what, but i did something to the motherboard when i was installing a volcano 11 cpu cooler fan thing. After it was installed i plugged it all back in and turned it on, and something happened. But whatever happened fried my motherboard and my hard drive.
Which is really really really bad, and slightly ironic.
It was that bad, because that day i had been planning on going into the city to buy a replacement cd burner to back up my hard drive, but, yeah, it fried. And my hard drive had everything on it, all my art folders, all the work id done, my almost-completed film, it was all just, gone.
To cut this story short, me and greg (ubergeek) managed to salvage my hard drive and i got all the important stuff off of it. So luckily, all my work is not gone.
I still have to buy a new motherboard, hard drive (i got a temporary 40gig but i want another 80gig) and a cd burner.
So to complete my film i need my computer, which wont be ready tonight, at the absolute soonest, by tomorrow night. most likley by the weekend it will be done. Which is frustrating.
*sigh*
And then theres just everything else, A few things have become very, uncertain at the moment, me moving to america is becoming wishful thinking. I am not the happiest little australian at the moment. And, i need to have a few discussions with some people, which i know are going to hurt. I just dont know anymore.

Managed to sit down and watch a movie I bought on the weekend.
'the seven samurai'
Damn that was a good film. Damn old, like, black and white old. And in typical old-movie style, it is far far slower then todays movies. Especially an action movie. But that said and done it was still really cool, had some really cool characters, and from what ive read, the characters from this film helped form the basis for many cliches and stereotypes often associated with samurai characters.
I strongly reccomend watching it, though, bear in mind before you sit down to watch it that it is 3 hours long. Its a long movie, and it feels like it when you watch it. but its still cool, you end up watching it only to see what happens to a few characters. But its still worth it.
so like, shut up and go buy it or something.
I also saw 'night of the ghouls' which, in all honestly is the worst movie ive ever seen. Like, truely amazingly bad. The whole thing is about as scary as late night with dave letterman, and about as funny (not, very).
but, it only cost 4 bucks, or, two dollars and 70 cents american. so it was worth it. Or something. Dont buy this movie.
Or something.

If theres one thing i hate about lan, I hate it when it ends. Going from a ton of people you know and like and are having fun with to just yourself in like, half an hour is just, not depressing more like, draining. All the fun is gone. *sigh*
oh well ^^
greg sold me his old tdk speakers for 30 bucks, which is great for me, once again speakers that arent just the cruddy things that came with the computer. They sound goooood. Well, a heap better then my previous speakers.

lol. The passion of the christ is a really good movie. Just saw it, its coooool. Everyone should go see it, doesnt matter if your christian or not. Its just a good film. Very well done.
